National Fine Arts

We got home from Charlotte Saturday around 3. It was a really good trip! A lot of the students that went got to experience their first Nationals trip, which is always exciting. ll of our entries did great!! Everyone got either superior or superior with honors. My sermon got a callback to the second round, so that was exciting! Dane did really well also. Both his band and songwriting got 8th in the nation, and his small human video got 16th. Throughout the week 36,000 presentations were made in 56 different categories. I would so hate to be a judge haha.



Just a little funny story for you... Monday night I had a dream that we had just gotten to Charlotte and I was exhausted! I went into our hotel and found an empty room and fell asleep. Well in my dream I had woken up and realized I wasn't alone in the room. So this cause me to wake up in real life and when I did, I though Brittney Jenkins, who was sleeping next to me, was a strange man in my bed! So after lying there freaked out for a minute, I threw my covers off, jumped out of bed, and ran out of the room. It was until I got all the way down the hall and around the corner that I realized it was all a dream and I had just locked myself out at 3:30 in the morning. =) I spent 20 minutes knocking on our door trying to wake someone up to let me in. I eventually had to go downstiars to the lobby and call the room about four times. lol I felt so dumb....
