Last night my parents and I drove up to Cleveland and stayed in a hotel. This morning I had an appointment with my academic advisor to pick my classes for the fall. It went pretty well. Taking my dual enrollment classes through vol state really helped. I dont have to take an English or math course, which is good cause I cant get some other stuff out of the way. Here's what my weekly schedule looks like:
Monday:
Physical Ed: 8am-8:50am
Mission of the Church: 9am-9:50am
New Testament Survey: 10am-10:50am
Frshmn Gateway: 3pm-3:50pm
Tuesday:
Psychology: 9:10am-10:25am
Envir. Science: 11:45am-1:00pm
Wednesday:
Physical Ed: 8am-8:50am
Mission of the Church: 9am-9:50am
New Testament Survey: 10am-10:50am
Envir. Science Lab: 12pm-2:50pm
Frshmn Gateway: 3pm-3:50pm
Thursday:
Psychology: 9:10am-10:25am
Envir. Science: 11:45am-1:00pm
Friday:
Mission of the Church: 9am-9:50am
New Testament Survey: 10am-10:50am
16.25 credit hours
Freshman Gateway is a requirement. It's basically just an intro to the school & the city.
Physical education is also required. Its not like playing sports its like nutrition and stuff.
Actually all of these classes are required. Except maybe mission of the church, depending on my major. I havent necessarily decided my major yet, but if I stick with Youth Ministry major then Mission/Church is required but if not (in which case i would choose Theology/Biblical studies) then its an elective.
Im thinking what I would like to do is a double major in Youth Ministry & Business. But i need to pray about it before I decide. I'll probably wait until spring semester or possibly even sophomore year to declare my major.
I also need to decide whether I want a bachelor of arts or bachelor of science degree. he said the only dif. is that in arts i have to have foreign language but he said it would be better to get b.a. why? idk? if its just language im not sure what good it will do me. so idk. we'll see.
soo yeah. thats me right now.

Just a suggestion to you about your college major. If you choose "Youth Ministry" as your major you limit yourself to where your ministry might go in the future. Choosing "Theology/Biblical Studies" can take you into youth ministry but also prepares you beyond youth ministry. Just some extra things to think about as you pray. Jenny and I are very proud of you. God has a grand plan for you. I am looking forward to where you will be in the next five years.
